Hi, I’m Ayman Chalak.

Ayman Chalak is a growth-focused business development leader with more than 17 years of international experience in energy and infrastructure. He builds and scales global practices, drives go-to-market strategies, and secures multi-jurisdictional, high-value engagements by combining consultative sales, commercial structuring, and cross-border capture leadership. Ayman excels at turning market insight and emerging technology trends into recurring revenue streams and long-term client partnerships. Throughout his career he has consistently exceeded origination and revenue targets while protecting profitability.

Most recently, Ayman led the expansion of BDO’s Energy & Natural Resources global practice across the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Australia, driving significant growth in market share, client base, and revenue. He initiated and co-led the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure Projects Advisory offering, creating a project-focused advisory capability that spans the full asset lifecycle and generated a new, high conversion revenue stream. Cross-border services offered include monetization of IRA’s renewable energy tax credits, government grants and R&D incentives.

In the Middle East, Ayman demonstrated strong skills of unlocking private sector investments, driving private capital partnerships (PCPs), and securing public sector engagement. Ayman has led the origination, bid pursuit, negotiation, and structuring of complex multi stakeholder transactions and offtake agreements, navigating financial, legal, commercial, technical, and economic dimensions. He has deep expertise in project finance, concession/SPV structuring, development of greenfield projects in Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain (DBFOM) model, and revenue enhancement for brownfield assets through OPEX reductions and CAPEX optimization.

In the UAE where he was based for 10 years, Ayman developed Public-Private-Partnerships across the Environmental Resources sector. Project types include pumped storage hydropower (PSH), wastewater treatment plants (STP/WWTP), water treatment & reuse (RO plants), waste-to-energy plants (WtE), waste-to-fuel facilities (RDF/SRF), and seawater desalination plants (IWP, SWRO, IPP, IWPP).

Ayman maintains an extensive network across lenders, developers, investors, asset owners, public-sector entities, infrastructure-focused private equity/debt funds, REITs, asset managers, engineering and project management firms, specialized contractors, foreign trade councils, export credit finance agencies, multinational SEC reporting companies, and sovereign wealth funds; with a proven track record of converting pipelines into multi-year engagements and master service agreements (MSAs) with Fortune 500 companies.

Ayman holds an Executive Master's in Future Energy from ESCP Business School, where he acquired a skill set focused on the financing, commercialization, and deployment of emerging and advanced energy technologies — and how to develop successful strategies for scaling up cutting-edge solutions across complex projects and global markets.

Ayman has lived throughout his career in North America, Europe and the Middle East. He is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
