Hi, I’m Doug Farrington.

Doug Farrington recently held the position of Regional Digital Officer for North America at BASF-Agricultural Products. BASF-AP is a leading global agribusiness organization as part of the BASF group of companies based in Ludwigshafen, Germany. In this role, he founded the North America AgroStart program to find, fund and commercialize Agricultural start-up companies.

Mr. Farrington has broad experience in finance, HR, manufacturing, supply-chain, product innovation, technical operations and digital, and has held a variety of roles within consumer products, manufacturing, agribusiness, consulting and start-up companies.

He has been a member/volunteer in AgGateway since 2013 and served as chairperson of the AgGateway Board of Directors until joining ADAR. In these roles Mr. Farrington has helped shape the future of AgGateway as it enables the transition to digital agriculture.

Mr. Farrington has been involved with startups for over 20 years and currently serves as judge and mentor in The Gauntlet Business Program & Competition in Virginia, USA.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois and has certificates in Project Management, Strategic Risk Management, Design Thinking, and Strategic Foresight.
